Aetherwood

The Aetherwood is the name for the area of the Aetherworld that covers the majority of western world, characterised by its lush forests that still cover the land in the magical realm. There are areas that have dense forest like that of the Black Forest of Germany and the light floaty old oak’s of Robin Hood’s Sherwood, and while it may not look exactly like the countries the other world mirrors, it is the base home for all magical creatures, malicious or marvellous, malevolent or magnificent.

The Aetherwood has been known by many names over the years, like fairyland, the dream realm, the otherside, the magikan, The dark forest, Alfheim and many others that refer to specific areas of the Aetherwood, such as most of the seven realms of the Norse god (two are strictly speaking in the subarctic region of Aethworld, affectionately known as Sniffleheim)
