Pentagrams are commonly associated with black magic and dark geometry, but all forms of magic a have a need for accurate angles in your sigils. If science teaches anything, its that even a small variation can make the difference between blowing up your enemy or knocking the stuffing out of their teddy bear. As a five-pointed shape, they basically tap into the ethereal resonance of the dodecahedron orbital shell that protects Earth from cosmological energies.
These devices have become increasingly complex over the years, with the most recent addition being a petrol-powered turtle, though many acolytes have been a little naive and started to fed gasoline to terapins, which certainly pep the little creatures up. Most of these devices became spring or motor power for emergency pentagram drawing, but they would frequently break giving the users black eyes, bruised thighs or worse, broken edges.
