The gaps in the world are many. Blink and you may fall down a crevasse in existence, and there is no intraspatial mountain rescue. This particular gap in existence is when thoughts escape into the real world, allowing the cats to talk, the bells to forget and your knees to give up complaining and put in a formal application for rehousing.
