The scientific term for a minor fault in a transformation
Animorphs and boggles are known to occasionally suffer from a failer to transform a small part of their body, leaving slippers with wagging tails or a lampshade with pointy ears. Magical scientists (miricists) have recently found that in species with integral magical powers (unlike most humans), defects in a transformation can be caused by incorrect licking of the target object.
