A diet influenced by planetary motion

Many creatures have eating habits that are affected by the phases of the moon or the alignment of the stars, but a significant number of magical creatures rely upon the positioning of the planets of the solar system to influence their diet. Astrological dietitians have spent millennia studying the various influences on different species and now have well-established rules that most creatures ignore. For example, when Mars is in the ascendant, it is the wrong time for unicorns to eat rhubarb with avocado, unless there is a juxtaposition within Uranus, in which case there is no helping you and the only advice is to get to the bog as quickly as possible.

This phenomenon is known to affect most humans at some point in the planetary cycles. For example, shortly after the Earth’s winter equinox, there is a marked increase in the amount of rum-soaked raisins and brussel sprouts consumed in north-western regions.
